CONSTRUCTION LAW
A unique specialty area for a general practice firm of our size is construction law. Glover & Davis, P.A. represents several major building contractors doing business in the Southeast United States and provides guidance and counseling relating to the negotiation of construction and development contracts; we also handle litigation involving construction claims and disputes. Our attorneys working with construction law are especially experienced in the arbitration of claims and the implementation of alternate dispute resolution procedures.

CORPORATE/TAX/GENERAL BUSINESS
Our general business practice includes the representation of corporations, partnerships, and sole proprietorships. The firm creates business structures and advises on such matters as capital, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, compensation and management planning together with statutory and regulatory compliance. Many of our lawyers' professional activities involve some facet of corporate practice ranging from initial formation of business organizations to matters of corporate operations and finance, to banking, creditors rights, employer/employee relations, taxation, and government relations.

A major concentration within the General Business Division is the representation of seven financial institutions. Our attorneys advise these institutions on matters ranging from regulatory compliance at the state and federal levels to the legalities of regular banking, activities encompassing commercial lending and creditors rights and involving the handling of actions seeking repayment of loans and the recovery of collateral as well as guidance in major debt restructuring arrangements and work-out transactions.

FAMILY LAW
Our firm has developed a thriving practice in this area of law. Regularly representing clients in contested and uncontested divorces, child custody cases, modifications of child support and alimony, and contempt actions, provides our firm with a detailed understanding of the new developments in the law. In addition, our firm strives to maintain regular contact with our clients to keep them completely informed during these sometimes emotional times.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT LAW
Two of the attorneys at Glover & Davis, P.A. are principally devoted to representing local governments. Clients in this area of practice include county commissions, municipalities, school boards, development authorities, and utility boards and commissions.

PERSONAL INJURY / WRONGFUL DEATH
Over the years, our firm has been successfully representing many individuals and their families in personal injury and wrongful death claims. We have experience in motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice claims, falls, nursing home neglect and abuse, and serious bodily injury and death. For these types of cases, consultation is free and there is no fee unless our firm collects something on your behalf.

REAL ESTATE
The attorneys in our Real Estate Division represent both domestic and foreign clients and handle matters ranging from closing of the purchase of a client's first home to complicated transactions involving the purchase, financing, development, construction, leasing and sale of major commercial and industrial properties, including office buildings, hotels, apartments, and plant installations. Our firm is local counsel for several national timber companies with operations in the West Central Georgia area. We also have considerable experience in the handling of zoning and land use matters, including state and federal land sales registrations.

The lawyers in our Real Estate Division work closely with those practicing in our Construction Law Division providing guidance and counseling for our clients.
